About

About

Camille Vizena is a Southwest Louisiana artist specializing in printmaking. Their personal work stems from a place of internal and external examination, how emotions permeate through the body, what influences begotten from childhood affect our perceptions, and how this creates tension and contradiction within the social experience of the self.

They were selected for the first cohort of the Residency at the Museum 2023 session through the Imperial Calcasieu Museum. Working in a studio in their hometown of Lake Charles, they created a series of multi-layer woodcut portraits depicting members of the local community.

Camille received their B.A. in Printmaking and Graphic Design from McNeese State University (Lake Charles, LA) in 2020.
